HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OUR FRIENDS FAMILY & SUPPORTERS! Trust this Christmas Season has found you all well! It is amazing to think that another year has come and gone. Does everyone remember when it was about to turn to the year 2000 and they thought all the computers would shut down? It is even more amazing to think that was 10 years ago! Wow, how time does fly!
Our last newsletter was in September, and as always we apologize for it being so long since the last one.
As our last newsletter stated, we are going to Haiti on Jan. 12 to 20th, with Pastor Murray Moore, of Cumberland Bay Pentecostal Church. We expect this to be a very intense trip. While part of our mandate is to “feed and educate the children of Haiti”, this trip will be more about Evangelism.
We are coming back to our first love, spreading the “Gospel”, the good news of Jesus Christ. Jesus IS the best NEWS there is, and we are compelled to proclaim it!
We will be running Evangelistic Crusades nightly in the local park. This is the site of the Crusades we took part in on our first trip to Haiti, back in 2001. We had tens of thousands attend, and hundreds receive Jesus each night. We are praying that Jesus will have as awesome a response, & better, during this trip.
We have some heartbreaking news about one of the families we were helping, it is the family of Mdme. Lucienne Pierre. When inquiring about this family we found out the Mdme. had moved her family up into the mountains and is no longer in an area where we can help her.
We also found out that one of her children, 6 year old Danis (nicknamed Fafan) passed away recently. We are not able to find out what he died of except that he had been sick awhile. We are so saddened by this, but it spurs us on even more to help the people of Haiti.
As you can see, when you sponsor a child, you not only bless them, and the whole community, but may even literally save their lives.
Please consider helping us help the people of Haiti, any donation no matter how small can be a big help. Because we are a Registered Charitable Organization your donation is TAX DEDUCTIBLE. You may sponsor a child by committing to at least $30 per month for a full year and can do it through by sending 12 postdated cheques or by PAYPAL.
We have a new way of supporting us and that is through canadahelps.org . It is just as secure as PAYPAL and since the fees are lower, even more of your donation actually gets to Haiti. You can also sponsor us to do the Evangelistic Crusades. Depending on the response from the people in Haiti, and our supporters in Canada, we plan to continue running crusades on a regular basis. Contact us for more info on any of these opportunities.
As I also said in our September 2009 Newsletter, although we are no longer running a school ourselves, we still have plenty of children to sponsor. They are in the school in Carefour Raymond, run by LIFELINE HAITI, and in Pastor Placide’s Orphanage, called LITTLE ANGELS OF JACMEL ORPHANAGE. When we are in Haiti, next week, we plan to visit both of these locations and get up to date photos of the children who are sponsored by you folks.
Well, must close for now. We ask that you keep us, and the whole nation of Haiti in your prayers. As I have said so many times, we cannot do any of this without your help.
