Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. May you all be blessed with God’s abundant provision in this New year. May He also bless you and yours with good health, salvation, and a deeper understanding of His care, love and protection in your lives. Oh, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Just wanted to drop a note to let you know what is happening with us and in Haiti these days. It’s hard to believe how fast two months have gone. Our last newsletter was in November just after Huricane Noel hit.

Latest update on Hurricane Noel...It was the worst storm they’ve had in the Jacmel area. It washed away roads, bridges, houses, and gardens. Many lost everything they had. Sixteen died, and 6 children were orphaned in the Raymond area. Our school, church and land are no longer useable. We are now having school at a new location. It is a small church and we can use it indefinately (photos on our website). There is land available on the main road bordering on the ocean that always does well in bad weather, we are working to raise funds to buy it and build a permanent school there. In Chabin many lost their homes and all their school supplies.

Our Partner, Bob Davisson, went to Haiti in December, he took on two more schools. The first in Camatin, just up the highway from the two schools in Chabin. There is a beautiful building, but they had no money to pay the teachers, or provide food for the students. The other school is just on the western edge of Port au Prince. We plan to build there this summer to be ready for 200 children in September. We plan additions to the school in Chabin, which will add 4 classes for High School. Praise the Lord! This brings us to 1400 Students, and over 70 full-time staff, and by September we will have over 2000 students, about 100 staff, and will be providing over 400,000 hot meals.

We are also looking at starting a program that would make micro loans available to people in Haiti. This would enable them to start small businesses. In Haiti the unemployment rate is 80%. This would help to continue to improve the local economy, the more people working, the better it is for everyone. This is just in the infancy stages, we will let you know more as we get more info on it.

All of this is made possible by the generous contributions of our supporters. It is hard to describe the difference this makes in the lives of the Haitian families whose children attend our schools and whose parents are now working there.

We have been very busy all fall with various fundraisers, the last one of the year was on Dec. 8 in Nackawic. It turned out to be something more than what we planned.

We had met a little girl named Kaitlynn last summer when we took part in a concert with her. She lives in Nackawic so we invited her to sing in our Nackawic concert. Her father had been battling cancer for about two years, and was not expected to live till Christmas. He was out of the hospital for a short time. He played guitar for her to sing, there was not a dry eye in the place, it was very touching. There was a holy hush in that church as that little girl sang and her daddy who was dying played for her. The whole family came and video taped it. We didn't raise much money that night, but God showed up and that is what it is all about. The father went home to be with the Lord on Boxing Day. We feel so sad for that family, but we know that he is with God and that his family will see him again someday. It just reminds us again that we need to always be available to let God move and not get so wrapped up in our agenda, that when He does move, we miss it.

We had Christmas parties for our children. They received their report card, took part in skits, had a wonderful meal, complete with cupcakes, and received a couple gifts. Most of these children have not celebrated Christmas before. (photos on the website)

We had planned to go to Haiti in early 2008, but have postponed it for now. We have recorded another CD to help with our fundraising and are planning a CD Launch for Jan. 20, 2008 at SMYTHE STREET CATHEDRAL in Fredericton. We hope soon to visit a church near you to share, and show photos of what God is doing in Haiti. We will also be working on a third CD this winter, to be released, hopefully in the spring or summer.

Pray for all these things and for us, there is so much to be done for Income tax time this year since we are a new organization. Also pray for Miles' brother, Royden Blair age 57, he was taken to hospital last week and it looks as though he has advanced cancer in his lung, shoulder bone and liver. We are praying for 2 miracles. The first is physical healing. The second that he will FINALLY surrender is life to Christ.

Well, must close for now, there is so much to do. Please visit our website to see photos and also to contribute to this valuable mission.

Take care and God Bless
Miles & Rosemary Blair
